How to Protect Yourself from Secondhand Smoke While Traveling

Last year, I attended an About.com Guide Event in Las Vegas, Nevada and was overwhelmed by the secondhand smoke I encountered, in spite of a non-smoking room. The air ducts in the hotel actually allowed for the smoke to enter my room, making all of my clothes stink to high-heaven! Smoking in public place should be ban in LasVegas. Sometimes secondhand smoking irritates me.
