Sadness: A Poem

Today, I was overcome with grief about my granddaughter, whom I have lost. In a moment of profound sadness, I put her pictures away, and it broke my heart. A Nurses Prayer

Several months ago, a patient of a fellow nurse died as a result of negligence on the part of some of the staff and the hospital. It affected me so, that I went into the break room several days later, and wrote a poem, if you will, about the experience.
